According to an article on Espn.com, Evander Holyfield will continue his quest for an unprecedented 5th heavyweight championship of the world. After his last loss, to Sultan Ibragimov in Russia, Holyfield dropped to 42-9-2.
Most people around boxing believe that Holy should retire. Holyfield does not.
"My goal is to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world,'' Holyfield stated after the fight.
While the Mac man admits he believed Holy had a good shot at offing Ibragimov in his last fight, the truth of the matter is Evander is now an aged warrior who has lost much of the speed and quickness that allowed him to become a champion in the first place.
Yet, Evander says he will press on.
I say good luck to him. If the man wants to fight on, let him fight on.
Keep swingin', Evander!
